HK$108.61 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.6 billion, or 14.36% of the
market's turnover. There were 733 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.24 billion and HK$1 billion,
or 7.97% and 6.44% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 41.71% and 28.84% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-SW (09988) registered HK$940.34 million and HK$634.43 million
of short sales, accounting for 6.03% and 4.07% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 11.63% and 19.86% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.06, or 0.24%, to HK$24.92. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$0.8, or
0.29%, to HK$274.2. TENCENT rose HK$5.6, or 1.19% to HK$477.8. BABA-SW jumped HK$3.6, or
2.73%, to HK$135.4.
