HK$129.79 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.76 billion, or 16.76% of the
market's turnover. There were 777 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.95 billion and HK$1.88
billion, or 8.95% and 8.66% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 12.75% and 60.49% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-SW (09988) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.2 billion and HK$1.18 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.53% and 5.41% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 24.15% and 22.71% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT closed down HK$14.4, or 3.01%, to HK$463.4. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.66, or
2.65%, to HK$24.26. BABA-SW fell HK$6.3, or 4.65% to HK$129.1. MEITUAN-W declined by
HK$10.6, or 3.87%, to HK$263.6.
