was HK$82.77 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$10.26 billion, or 12.4% of the
market's turnover. There were 710 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.37 billion and HK$1.29
billion, or 13.37% and 12.54% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 14.99% and 52.26% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and JD-SW (09618) registered HK$655.18 million and HK$370.04 million of
short sales, accounting for 6.39% and 3.61% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.12% and 44.84% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed down HK$20.4, or 7.74%, to HK$243.2. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.16,
or 0.66%, to HK$24.1. TENCENT rose HK$4.6, or 0.99% to HK$468. JD-SW jumped HK$7, or
2.02%, to HK$353.
