[ET Net News Agency, 24 May 2023] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$44.23
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$7.88 billion, or 17.82% of the market's
turnover. There were 637 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.75 billion and HK$628.84
million, or 22.18% and 7.98% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 63.12% and 40.13% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$460.37 million and HK$362.97 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.84% and 4.61% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 41.39% and 41.89% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.17, or 0.87%, to HK$19.43. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.03, or 0.9%, to HK$3.75. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.64, or 0.96% to HK$65.94. PING AN
declined by HK$1.1, or 2.07%, to HK$51.95.
