{I-bank focus}Macau seen suffering from "collateral damage"

[ET Net News Agency, 3 June 2020] J.P. Morgan noted that HK government has officially
extended the 14-day mandatory quarantine for arrivals from China to 7 July. The research
house said this as a disappointment for those waiting for a "Greater Bay Area travel
bubble" to kick in this month, including JPM.
JPM now sees that there is a (very) small chance that Macau and Guangdong could go ahead
first to open up borders with certain safeguarding measures, as the Chinese government
might prefer not to treat two SARs differently.
JPM does think Macau is suffering "collateral damage," as it has been COVID-19-free for
