[ET Net News Agency, 3 April 2018] Power Assets (00006) said Transmission Operations
(Australia) Pty Ltd, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Australian Energy Operations
Pty Ltd (AEO), and Energy Solutions Pty Ltd entered into a contract for the augmentation
of the Elaine Terminal Station at Elaine, Victoria, Australia and the design and
construction of the connection assets for the Moorabool Wind Farm in Moorabool, Victoria,
Australia at A$33 million (equivalent to about HK$198.21 million).
The connection assets include a 132kV overhead power line, a 132kV-220kV transformer and
all associated equipment and infrastructure to be constructed for enabling the
transmission of electricity generated by Moorabool Wind Farm to an existing 220kV
transmission network in Victoria, Australia. Practical completion of the works is expected
to be in January 2019.
AEO is indirectly held as to 50% each by Power Assets and CK Infrastructure Holdings
(01038), a substantial shareholder of Power Assets. Energy Solutions has extensive
experience in the construction, commissioning and maintenance of electricity network
facilities in Australia, and AEO has worked with Energy Solutions, formerly integrated
into its sister entity Powercor Network Services Pty Ltd, on similar projects in the past,
including the Mt Mercer Wind Farm and the Ararat Wind Farm connection projects. (HL)
