[ET Net News Agency, 15 June 2018] Vitasoy International (00345) said its profit
attributable to equity shareholders for the year ended 31 March 2018 dropped 5.3%
year-on-year to HK$586 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were HK55.5 cents and HK55 cents.
Revenue amounted to HK$6,464.5 million, an increase of 19.6% from a year earlier.
Gross profit margin sustained at 53% (2017: 53%). Although commodity prices particularly
sugar, milk powder and paper carton were unfavourable to Vitasoy, improved manufacturing
efficiency resulting from increased sales volume enabled Vitasoy to maintain its gross
margin level.
A final dividend of HK31.4 cents per ordinary share (2017: a final dividend of HK27.1
cents and a special dividend of HK4.2 cents) has been proposed, payable on 21 September.
