[I-bank focus]Citi trims Orient Securities (03958) to HK$5.3

[ET Net News Agency, 17 September 2018] Citi Research lowered its target price for
Orient Securities (DFZQ)(03958) to HK$5.3 from HK$8.1, and maintained its "neutral"
rating.
The research house said DFZQ's 1H NPAT of RMB716mn accounts for 32% of FY2018 consensus
estimate. Key positives include that brokerage commission income rose 7% in 2Q, investment
banking income grew 20%, asset management fee increased 73%, and other operating income
jumped 4 times. Negatives are: proprietary trading gain fell 62%, net interest expense was
up 16%, provision charge rose 227%, and CIR was up sharply to 81%.
Citi revised down its FY2018/19 earnings forecasts for DFZQ by 61%/ 52.9%. (KL)
