[ET Net News Agency, 13 September 2019] Citi Research Initiated coverage on Maoyan
Entertainment (01896) with a "buy" rating and a target price of HK$18.
It likes Maoyan, the largest online movie ticketing platform, for the following reasons:
(1) structural decent demand on China box office, (2) improving profitability in online
movie ticketing, (3) a disruptor in entertainment content service, (4) robust outlook for
online ticketing of entertainment events, and (5) potential new drivers under "Cat Claw
Strategic Model".
Citi said near-term catalysts include better box office during 2H, faster growth on
online entertainment event ticketing and entertainment content service. Citi expects
Maoyan to deliver a 32% adjusted earnings CAGR during 2019-21. (KL)
