[ET Net News Agency, 25 March 2021] Daiwa Research lifted its target price for Kunlun
Energy (00135) to HK$9.5 from HK$9.4 but downgraded its rating to "outperform" from "buy".
The research house attended Kunlun's analyst briefing on 24 March. Kunlun confirmed that
the special DPS will be distributed before July while the pipeline spin-off will likely be
completed by the end-March.
Management also guided for 2021 capex of CNY5,900m on natural gas sales assuming no M&A.
Daiwa is positive on the gas sales guidance but sees a lack of clarity on inorganic growth
for the city-gas segments.
Daiwa raised its 2021-22 EPS forecasts by 3.2-4.2% on a 2pp hike in 2021 gas sales
volume YoY growth. (KL)
