[ET Net News Agency, 22 March 2018] China Mobile (00941) said its profit attributable
to equity shareholders for the year ended 31 December 2017 rose 5.1% year-on-year to
Rmb114,279 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were Rmb5.58.
Operating revenue was Rmb740,514 million, an increase of 4.5% from a year earlier, of
which revenue from telecommunications services was Rmb668,351 million, up 7.2%.
EBITDA amounted to Rmb270,421 million, an increase of 5.4% from a year earlier.
Total number of mobile customers was 887 million, representing a net addition of 38.3
million. Total number of wireline broadband customers was 113 million, representing a net
addition of 35.06 million.
With a net addition of 114 million, the total number of 4G customers has reached 650
million and the 4G penetration rate of mobile customers has reached 73%. The average
revenue per user, or ARPU, of 4G customers reached Rmb66.4.
The proposed final dividend is HK$1.582 (2016: HK$1.243) per share, payable on or about
