China Unicom (00762) said its net additions of mobile broadband subscribers, including 3G and 4G LTE users, in March rose to 3.287 million from 2.544 million in the previous month, bringing the aggregate mobile broadband subscribers size to 132.3 million.
The mobile operator added 4.016 million mobile subscribers last month, rising sharply from 1.571 million in February, with the total number of mobile subscribers of 289.69 million.
On fixed line business, there were reductions of 333,000 of local access subscribers and additions of 713,000 of fixed-line broadband subscribers in March, with the total customer size reaching 87.79 million and 66.44 million by the end of last month.
