Dongjiang Environmental (00895) said its preliminary net profit attributable to shareholders for the first half of 2014 rose 17.46% year-on-year to Rmb136 million.
Its basic earnings per share were Rmb0.39. Total operating revenue amounted to Rmb849 million, an increase of 19.92% from a year earlier.
Although the domestic economic situation was worse than expected and the metal prices have declined as compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, through the implementation of measures such as exploiting new market, enhancing technological capabilities and strengthening cost control, the total operating revenue, operating profit and net profit attributable to shareholders of Dongjiang Environmental reported growth in the first half of 2014 as compared to the same period last year.
