Norton Gold Fields, a subsidiary of Zijin Mining (02899), said it produced 42,324 ounces of gold at a C1 cash cost of A$997/ounce for the second quarter ended 30 June 2014, an increase of 9.6% and 0.4% from the previous quarter.
In the quarter, Norton Gold spent about A$713,000 on capital expenditures and around A$2.6 million on exploration expenditures. In the same period, it shipped 41,632 ounces of gold.
