CA Low-Carbon (1069) to further expand biomass fuel business

    China Agroforestry Low-Carbon (01069) said it will use the biomass energy base in Jiange County in Sichuan Province as its standard model in building new factories in provinces of the People's Republic of China with a serious level of air pollution, so as to further expand its biomass fuel business. 
  The group targets to increase the number of factories to about 100 in the next three years, and annual production capacity will be increased to around 3 million tonnes. 
  At present, the base's operation is on track, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons. The said base will be used as the Group's standard and its production model will be replicated to regions and provinces such as North Guangdong, Beijing and Tianjin, Hebei and Jiangsu where there is serious problem of air pollution. It is expected that the designed annual production capacity of each new factory will be 30,000 tonnes.
  In the context of reducing smog, the Group intends to expand the biomass fuel business to moderately developed areas where there is no natural gas supply and within 200 kilometres from factories. It is expected that one or two such projects will be completed by the end of the year, which will complete the whole supply chain of the biomass fuel business of the Group and maximise profitability.
  At the same time, the Group will actively cooperate with enterprises which produce biomass fuels in the PRC to broaden the upstream supply sources and actively expand into the downstream market.
