Beijing Enterprises (00392) said its profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ended 30 June 2014 rose 36.5% year-on-year to HK$2.81 billion.
Its basic and diluted earnings per share were HK$2.21 and HK$2.19.
The revenue was HK$22.43 billion, an increase of 9.1% from a year earlier. Gas sales revenue was HK$14.34 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%. Beer sales revenue was HK$7.95 billion. Other businesses contributed an aggregate of not more than 1% of the total revenue.
Overall gross profit margin was 21.2% compared to 21.3% in corresponding period of last year.
The proposed interim dividend is HK28 cents (2013: HK25 cents) per share, payable on about 28 October.
