Dongfang Electric (01072) said its net profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ended 30 June 2014 dropped 29.24% year-on-year to Rmb839 million.
Its basic and diluted earnings per share were Rmb42 cents.
Total revenue from operations amounted to Rmb19,000 million, a decrease of 7.25% from a year earlier. The gross profit margin for principal operations was 15.68%, representing a decrease of 2.37 percentage points over the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Dongfang Electric produced power generation equipment with total capacity of 17,873.5MW, up 1% year on year, fulfilling the production target of completing half of the production volume with a half year.
No interim dividend will be distributed.
