HK stocks opened weaker on Tuesday following the softer US markets overnight, as investors were concerned the protests in HK may add worries to economic growth in China.
The Hang Seng Index opened down 91 points to 23,137. The H-share index fell 29 points to 10,409.
HSBC (00005) inched down 0.6% to HK$80.2. China Mobile (00941) inched down 0.2% to HK$92.35. Tencent (00700) softened 0.2% to HK$115.4. HKEx (00388) slipped 1% to HK$168.
