HK stocks closed slightly lower on Friday morning session despite the rally of global markets, with the benchmark index opening down 21 points.
The Hang Seng Index ended down 33 points to 23,300. The H-share index also dropped 36 points to 10,402. Half-day turnover increased to HK$27bn from HK$25.6bn on Thursday.
Market heavyweights were mixed. China Mobile (00941) put on 1.87% to HK$89.75, while HSBC (00005) nudged down 0.13% to HK$77.9.
CCB (00939) dipped 0.71% to HK$5.59 as its 9-month earnings growth miss consensus estimate.
China Unicom (00762) surged 3.48% to HK$11.3 on better-than-expected third quarter earnings, making it the largest blue-chip gainer in half-day trade.
Great Wall Motor (02333) plunged 5.69% to HK$30.65 after it reported nearly 10% drop in 9-month earnings.
