Orient Overseas (International) Limited (OOIL) (00316) said total volumes for the third quarter of 2014 were 5.3% up from the same period last year to 1.42 million TEUs.
Total revenues rose 5.7% to US$1,518.3 million. Loadable capacity grew 1.3%. The overall load factor was 2.9% better than the same period in 2013. Overall average revenue per teu increased 0.5% compared to the third quarter of last year.
For the first nine months of 2014, total volumes rose 8.4% over the same period last year to 4.23 million and total revenues recorded a 4.8% growth to US$4,408 million. Loadable capacity rose 2.3%. The overall load factor was 4.3% higher than the same period in 2013. Overall average revenue per teu dropped 3.3% compared to the same period last year.
