HK stocks closed slightly lower on Friday in contrast with the global markets rally, with the benchmark index narrowing losses near the close.
The Hang Seng Index ended down 30 points to 23,302. The H-share index also dropped 47 points to 10,391. Turnover to fell slightly to HK$50.2bn from HK$50.6bn on Thursday.
Market heavyweights were mixed. China Mobile (00941) put on 2.16% to HK$90, making it the largest blue-chip gained, while HSBC (00005) edged down 0.06% to HK$77.95.
CCB (00939) slid 0.71% to HK5.59 as its 3Q earning were weaker than expected with rising non-performing loans.
China Unicom (00762) added 1.28% to HK$11.06 on better-than-expected 3Q earnings.
Kingsoft (03888) plummeted 11.92% to HK$17 after it issued a profit warning for the third quarter.
