HK stocks opened firmer on Friday following the strong rally of the Dow overnight on better GDP data. The Hang Seng Index opened up 211 points to 23,913. The H-share index also gained 82 points to 10,711.
Market heavyweights were firmer. HSBC (00005) was unchanged at HK$78.45. Tencent (00700) rose 1.3% to HK$123. China Mobile (00941) put on 2.4% to HK$96.3. HKEx (00388) edged up 0.6% to HK$169.5.
