The Hong Kong Monetary Authority said today the composite interest rate, which is a measure of the average cost of funds of banks, decreased slightly by 1 basis point to 0.38% at the end of November, from 0.39% at the end of October.
The decline in the composite interest rate in November reflected decreases in the weighted funding cost for both deposits and interbank funds.
The next data release is scheduled for 19 January 2015 and will provide the composite interest rate at the end of December.
