Haitong Securities (06837) said its preliminary profit attributable to shareholders for the year ended 31 December 2014 rose 89.43% year-on-year to Rmb7.64 billion.
Its basic earnings per share were Rmb0.8.
Operating income amounted to Rmb17.98 billion, an increase of 71.93% from a year earlier. Operating profit surged 91.26% year-on-year to Rmb10.21 billion.
In 2014, Haitong Securities kept a stable market share of its brokerage business, gained a breakthrough in underwriting in investment banking, and improved dramatically the profitability of the asset management business; it further expanded the layout of its innovative business, accelerated its progress in internationalization, and enhanced its comprehensive operating strength. The revenue from brokerage business, investment banking business, asset management business and proprietary trading business increased significantly.
