HK stocks opened firmer on Tuesday following the record close of the US equity markets overnight. The Hang Seng Index opened up 97 points to 24,984. The H-share index gained 2 points to 12,216.
Market heavyweights were higher. HSBC (00005) edged up 0.2% to HK$69.7. China Mobile (00941) added 1.2% to HK$106.1. Tencent (00700) nudged up 0.4% to HK$137.2. HKEx (00388) was flat at HK$179.
