HK blue chips opened firmer on Tuesday despite the softer close of overseas markets. The Hang Seng Index opened up 155 points to 25,391. The H-share index gained 56 points to 12,288.
Market heavyweights were higher. HSBC (00005) gained 1.3% to HK$68.8. China Mobile (00941) was unchanged at HK$96.4. Tencent (00700) put on 2.4% to HK$150. HKEx (00388) added 0.9% to HK$237.2.
