China CITIC Bank Corporation (00998) said its controlling shareholder CITIC Limited (00267) had continued to increase its shareholding in the bank by acquiring 137 million H shares during the period from 11 April 2016 to 18 May 2016.
After such acquisition, CITIC Limited holds 64.62% of the total shares of CITIC Bank.
CITIC Limited intends to continue to increase its shareholding in the bank's H shares before 21 January 2017 when appropriate, provided that the accumulated percentage of the increase in the shareholding in the bank will not exceed 5%.
