New World Department Store China (00825) said its profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ended 31 December 2016 rose 55.1% year-on-year to HK$92.78 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were HK5 cents.
The revenue was HK$1,781 million, a decrease of 7.9% from a year earlier.
The Group's merchandise gross margin was 18.1% in the reporting period (1HFY2016: 18.2%). In 1HFY2017, ladieswear and accessories made up about 64.5% of gross revenue from concessionaire sales and sales of goods for direct sales.
No interim dividend will be distributed.
