HSI ends up 7 pts at 24,327; turnover at HK$91.8bn

   HK blue chips closed virtually unchanged on Thursday following a slight dip of the Dow overnight. The benchmark index opened up 60 points at 24,381. It then rose as much as 146 points to intra-day high of 24,466, but it reversed its uptrend in afternoon trade, and fell 49 points at one stage. 
  The Hang Seng Index ended up 7 points or 0.03% to 24,327. The H-share index rose 30 points or 0.3% to 10,487. Turnover decreased to HK$91.8 billion from HK$103.5 billion on Wednesday.
  The northbound quota balance of the "Shanghai-HK Connect" program was RMB12.177 billion, accounting for 93.7% of the daily allowed quota of RMB13 billion. The southbound quota balance was RMB9.394 billion, accounting for 89.5% of the daily allowed quota of RMB10.5 billion. 
  As for the Shenzhen-HK Connect, the northbound quota balance was RMB12.02 billion, accounting for 92.5% of the daily allowed quota of RMB13 billion. The southbound quota balance was RMB10.023 billion, accounting for 95.5% of the daily allowed quota of RMB10.5 billion.
  AAC Tech surged 10% to HK$95.25. It was the top blue-chip winner. The company reported strong results and triggered upgrades from research houses.
  China Mobile (00941) said its 2016 earnings edged up 0.2% to RMB108.74 billion. It dropped 3% to HK$87.25 becoming the top blue-chip loser as hopes of higher dividend vanished.
  Tencent (00700) said its 4Q 2016 net profit grew 47% to RMB10.5 billion, But the stock softened 1% to HK$223 despite a slew of research houses are still bullish for its outlook.
  CKH Holdings (00001) gained 1% to HK$97.8 after the conglomerate reported 2016 earnings growth of 6% to HK$33 billion, which came in better than expectations.
  WH Group soared 10% to HK$6.66 after it reported 2016 earnings growth of 32%. The company said China and Hong Kong banned imports of frozen and chilled meat and poultry meat from Brazil will bring about new opportunities for the company.
