Hong Kong stocks opened firmer on Friday following the rally of the Dow overnight. The Hang Seng Index opened up 86 points at 24,143. The H-share index rose 45 points to 10,101.
Market heavyweights were mostly higher. HSBC Holdings (00005) was flat at HK$62.25. China Mobile (00941) put on 0.4% to HK$84.5. Tencent Holdings (00700) added 0.4% to HK$237.6. Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388) gained 0.5% to HK$192.4.
