ASM Pacific Technology (00522) said its profit attributable to owners for the three months ended 31 March 2017 surged 4.5 times year-on-year and 90.4% quarter-on-quarter to HK$736 million.
Basic and diluted earnings per share were HK$1.8 and HK$1.32.
The revenue was HK$3,761 million, an increase of 31.4% year-on-year and 6.8% quarter-on-quarter.
Group gross margin was at 39.9%, representing improvement of 686 bps and 233 bps over the same period last year and the preceding quarter.
