Bauhaus International (00483) said its profit attributable to equity holders for the year ended 31 March 2017 rose 22.5% year-on-year to HK$64.88 million.
Basic earnings per share were HK17.7 cents.
Revenue amounted to HK$1,306 million, a decrease of 13.7% from a year earlier, attributable mainly to the sluggish retail sentiment in many regions where the Group operates and the closure of under-performing and costly stores, particularly in Hong Kong.
Gross profit decreased by about 8.4% to HK$818 million, while gross margin improved to about 62.6% from 59%.
The Directors recommended the payment of a final dividend of HK7.5 cents (2016: HK6 cents) per ordinary share, payable on or before 27 September 2017.
