EGL Holdings (06882) said it agreed to purchase four parcels of vacant land in Naha-shi, Okinawa, Japan at JPY970 million (equivalent to about HK$67.31 million).
The land has an aggregate site area of about 2,103 square metres located at Okinawa of Japan. It is currently intended to be used for hotel development and operation purposes.
EGL Holdings said the land is located with close proximity to public transportation, the intended development of a hotel on the land is aimed at catering for the accommodation needs of the Group's package tours and demand from the Group's FIT packages and individual travel elements bounding for Okinawa, whilst surplus guest rooms will be rented to other customers at the prevailing market price for hotels of similar location and quality.
