China Unicom (00762) said it added 7.071 million of 4G subscribers in March, with the pace adding from 5.84 million in February, bringing the aggregate number of 4G subscribers to 194.202 million by the end of last month.
The mobile operator added 4.105 million mobile billing subscribers in March, up from 2.805 million in February, with the total number of mobile billing subscribers of 293.945 million.
On fixed line business, there were reductions of 308,000 of local access subscribers and additions of 584,000 of fixed-line broadband subscribers in March, with the total customer size reaching 58.758 million and 78.057 million by the end of last month.
