HK$120.58 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.11 billion, or 15.02% of the
market's turnover. There were 738 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT
(00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.27 billion and HK$1.13
billion, or 7% and 6.25% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 44.06% and 14.79% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-SW (09988) registered HK$1.12 billion and HK$1.03 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.2% and 5.69% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 22.45% and 27.67% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.34, or 1.3%, to HK$26.44. TENCENT ended up HK$2, or 0.4%, to
HK$499. MEITUAN-W rose HK$5.2, or 1.85% to HK$285.6. BABA-SW jumped HK$1.9, or 1.17%, to
HK$164.8.
