[ET Net News Agency, 11 December 2020] Citi Research lifted its target price for Ping
An Insurance (02318) to HK$114 from HK$103 and maintained its "buy" rating.
The research house views Ping An as a high-quality name that initiated life reforms in
late 2018 and should start to reap the benefits in 2021. Meanwhile, Ping An's re-focus on
jump-start sales would also bolster its agency team in terms of income and productivity.
Lastly, the company should also see improved investment returns in 2021, particularly
after net investment income was hit by HSBC scrapping dividends in 2020. Citi adjusted its
2020-22 EPS forecasts up by 2%-4%. (KL)
