Huadian Power (01071) 6-month power generation up 5.54%

   Huadian Power International Corporation Limited (01071) said as at 30 June 2019, the total amount of power generated by the group calculated on the basis of the consolidated financial statement of the group according to the China Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises for the first half of year 2019 was 101.13 million MWh, representing an increase of 5.54% as compared with that of the same period of year 2018. The total amount of on-grid electricity sold was 94.54 million MWh, representing an increase of 5.66% as compared with that of the same period of year 2018.
  The increase in power generation and on-grid electricity sold was mainly attributable to the power contribution from the operation of the newly-added generating units of the group. As at 30 June 2019, the controlled installed capacity of the group amounted to 53,531.5 MW, representing an increase of 8.66% as compared with that of the same period of year 2018.
  The market based electricity sold by the member companies of the group for the first half of year 2019 was 46.3 million MWh, with a ratio of 48.99% comparing to the corresponding total on-grid electricity sold, representing an increase of 13.17 percentage points from 35.82% as compared with that of the same period of year 2018. The average tariff of on-grid electricity sold by the group for the first half of year 2019 was RMB414.58 per MWh, representing an increase of 1.56% as compared with that of the same period of year 2018.
