was HK$65.92 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.6 billion, or 14.57% of the
market's turnover. There were 717 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT
(00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.04 billion and HK$884.31
million, or 10.86% and 9.21% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 59.09% and 11.68% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-SW (09988) registered HK$556.57 million and HK$533.32 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.8% and 5.55% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 26.71% and 25.99% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.54, or 2.17%, to HK$24.38. TENCENT ended down HK$14.4, or
3.01%, to HK$463.4. MEITUAN-W fell HK$10.8, or 3.94% to HK$263.4. BABA-SW declined by
HK$4, or 2.95%, to HK$131.4.
