HK$144.51 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.4 billion, or 15.5% of the
market's turnover. There were 749 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.84 billion and HK$2.55
billion, or 12.67% and 11.4% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 56.31% and 19.06% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$1.27 billion and HK$933.99 million of
short sales, accounting for 5.66% and 4.17% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.98% and 51.2% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.12, or 0.49%, to HK$24.14. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$18.6,
or 7.06%, to HK$245. TENCENT fell HK$1, or 0.22% to HK$462.4. PING AN jumped HK$0.15, or
0.27%, to HK$55.55.
