[ET Net News Agency, 23 March 2023] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$63.03
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.39 billion, or 14.9% of the market's
turnover. There were 614 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.48 billion and HK$1.33 billion, or
15.76% and 14.14% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 36.48% and 16.39% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$891.09 million and HK$805.41
million of short sales, accounting for 9.49% and 8.58% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 51.95% and 43.89% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.14, or 0.71%, to HK$19.94. TENCENT ended up HK$19.4, or
5.59%, to HK$366.6. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.06, or 1.52% to HK$4. HSCEI ETF jumped
HK$0.6, or 0.89%, to HK$67.66.
