billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.37 billion, or 18.75% of the market's
turnover. There were 695 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.71b and HK$925m, or 20.19%
and 5.03% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 35.88%
and 35.24% of respective stock's turnover.
PING AN (02318) and XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) registered HK$797m and HK$690m of short sales,
accounting for 4.34% and 3.76% of the total short sales values respectively. The
transactions represented 35.9% and 65.98% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.29, or 1.48% to HK$19.31. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.08,
or 2.06% to HK$3.7. PING AN fell HK$1.45, or 2.73% to HK$51.6. XL2CSOPHSTECH declined by
HK$0.18, or 3.96%, to HK$4.41.
