billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.42 billion, or 17.23% of the market's
turnover. There were 671 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.11 billion and HK$1.34 billion, or
10.89% and 6.89% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
25.68% and 45.26% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.02 billion and HK$762.68 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.25% and 3.93% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.75% and 20.06% of respective stock's
turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed up HK$5.05, or 5.72%, to HK$93.3. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.02, or
0.59%, to HK$3.368. TENCENT fell HK$0.2, or 0.07% to HK$288.6. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.06, or 0.1%, to HK$58.14.
