[ET Net News Agency, 12 April 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$106.22
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.25 billion, or 19.07% of the market's
turnover. There were 671 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.39 billion and HK$1.61 billion, or
11.8% and 7.94% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
38.34% and 22.32% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$765.54 million and HK$764 million
of short sales, accounting for 3.78% and 3.77% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 29.29% and 22.31% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.37, or 2.13%, to HK$16.97. TENCENT ended down HK$5.4, or
1.71%, to HK$309.6. MEITUAN-W fell HK$2.4, or 2.3% to HK$102.1. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.42,
or 2.61%, to HK$16.5.
