billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$27.31 billion, or 23.84% of the market's
turnover. There were 677 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.75 billion and HK$2.05 billion, or
17.38% and 7.5% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
55.89% and 31.87% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.23 billion and HK$1.07 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.52% and 3.91% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 20.62% and 53.35% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.33, or 1.96%, to HK$16.49. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$1.02,
or 1.72%, to HK$58.12. TENCENT fell HK$2.6, or 0.85% to HK$301.8. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.13, or 3.82%, to HK$3.27.
