在日前的傳媒預展中，編者遊遍248間來自32個國家及地區的頂尖藝廊，藝術品橫跨二十世紀初的現代時期至最近期的當代作品。

展會主要展區藝廊薈萃（Galleries）呈獻195間世界頂級藝廊的油畫、雕塑、繪畫、裝置藝術、攝影、錄像及限量印刷作品。

要看新晉藝術家的個展就要到藝術探新（Discoveries）展區，在今年25間參展藝廊中，香港藝術家黃榮法將展位變為一件充滿語義的裝置作品，通過閃爍的霓虹文字以及比例荒謬的廉價鍍金腕錶，繼續他一直以來探索時間不受約束的特性。

每屆Art Basel的會場的四大入場大道，總會展出大型展品以吸引進場者的眼球。今年藝聚空間（Encounters）展區有12個大型藝術項目。最矚目當然是日本藝術家大卷伸嗣的作品《Liminal Air Space-Time》，呈現出無形的力量。

不少藝廊認為Art Basel只是藝術品的買賣場所，展會中其實也有不那麼商業的項目，如展出59部錄像的「光映現場」（Film），以及由26場研討會組成的「與巴塞爾藝術展對話」（Conversations）。
