There were 786 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.24 billion and HK$1.53 billion, or 12.87% and 6.07% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 36.47% and 37.76% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and SMIC (00981) registered HK$1.36 billion and HK$1.14 billion of short sales, accounting for 5.39% and 4.53% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 39.33% and 12.86% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed flat, to HK$25.86. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.3, or 0.34%, to HK$88.02. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.008, or 0.17% to HK$4.762. SMIC jumped HK$1.8, or 2.4%, to HK$76.95.
