[ET Net News Agency, 18 June 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$164.47 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$27 billion, or 16.42% of the market's turnover. There were 826 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.37 billion and HK$2.09 billion, or 8.79% and 7.73% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 43.2% and 37.58% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and HUA HONG GRACE (01347) registered HK$1.92 billion and HK$688.77 million of short sales, accounting for 7.1% and 2.55% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 50.74% and 18.62% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHYNIX closed up HK$17.15, or 11.84%, to HK$161.95. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.36, or 1.46%, to HK$24.32. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.54, or 1.83% to HK$82.48. HUA HONG GRACE jumped HK$6.3, or 3.96%, to HK$165.5.
