[ET Net News Agency, 3 July 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$166.08 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$31.04 billion, or 18.69% of the market's turnover. There were 830 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and HSCEI ETF (02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.81 billion and HK$1.82 billion, or 15.49% and 5.87% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 40.12% and 28.08% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.75 billion and HK$1.12 billion of short sales, accounting for 5.65% and 3.61% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 23.77% and 26.03% of respective stock's turnover.
