[ET Net News Agency, 17 July 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$175.75 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$30.63 billion, or 17.43% of the market's turnover. There were 845 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.59 billion and HK$3.43 billion, or 11.74% and 11.21% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 40.61% and 40.18% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.55 billion and HK$1.39 billion of short sales, accounting for 5.07% and 4.54% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 35.75% and 15.45% of respective stock's turnover.
