Japanese stocks surge in morning trading, closing the half-day session at 65883, up 864 points, yen exchange rate at 157.87,

　　{Economic Daily News} reported on the 24th that Japanese stocks surged in morning trading, with the Nikkei 225 index closing the half-day session at 65883, up 864 points or 1.33%.

　　The US dollar against the Japanese yen was quoted at 157.86/88.
